We are immensely proud to announce that Space Next Door has won the award for Technology and Innovation (Singapore) at the inaugural Self Storage Awards Asia, held on 30th March 2022 by The Self Storage Association Asia.
We have been working on a self-storage platform that gives users a full end-to-end journey; easy to navigate and with all the details to make bookings instantly and securely. Looking into the customer journey, we identified the pain points that are faced in the self-storage booking process and sought to find technological solutions.
Ensuring that customers are able to find units in their preferred location easily, especially when unfamiliar with a specific area, we provide an open search, similar to Google Maps. Users can search for particular landmarks and our system will find facilities within a radius.
We compare several operators in one place on our platform to provide the best option in terms of location, affordability, size, and facilities. True to our core values, pricing is clear and transparent for all the listings and the availability of units is based on real-time inventory across both our and our aggregate partners’ facilities.
A crucial issue faced by customers is the inability to experience the unit they are interested in without making a trip to the facility. A key feature we deployed is the capability to take a 360° tour of the unit and facility remotely. The space can also be measured, empowering users to make fully informed decisions.
Self-storage isn’t always an instant decision and some users need time to consider their options. We provide instant quotation functionality whereby we gather key information to establish the exact storage needs. We then present a variety of choices to consider and the ability to book instantly.
We have also packaged self-storage into a mobile app that streamlines booking management. Within the app, users can self-manage payments, retrieve invoices, and make changes to units without the need for manual calls. The app also provides enhanced security - each time a unit is accessed a new code is generated and access history is recorded.
